Rendering: 2013 911-991 ProSpeed Competition GT3 R liveries
After the first image i released some time ago it’s time to post some examples of how the car could look with some colours taken from an actual team. We’ve: – a couple of ProSpeed entries from European Gt3 Championship (in 2011 paint scheme, before that championship was almost destroyed) and other three Prospeed 991 from Blancpain Endurance Series and Spa 24H
Dopo il mio primo bozzetto pubblicato qualche tempo fa credo sia venuto il momento di postare alcuni esempi di come quest’auto potrebbe apparire con i colori di un team che attualmente schiera le sue Porsche nei campionati Gt: il Prospeed Competition. Abbiamo un paio di vetture dal Fia Gt3 (come apparivano nel 2011, prima che il campionato venisse quasi distrutto) e ben altre tre dal Blancpain Endurance Series e dalla 24 ore di Spa.
I’ve decided to analyze their color schemes because i’ve been seing them many times in the flesh in the last years i’m now well used to them. They’re probably the best Porsche specialists with Porsches in Gt3 championships so i thought it was cool to imagine a whole new racing car dressed with their liveries. I’m start thinking to design other liveries and also a Gt2 (GTE) prototype, you’ll see it soon (hoping that those guys in Zuffenhausen won’t release it before my sketches!)
Ho deciso di analizzare i loro schemi cromatici perchè, avendoli visti dal vivo così tante volte negli ultimi anni, ormai li conosco bene. Quelli della Prospeed sono tra i migliori specialisti in auto Porsche nei campionati Gt3 per cui ho pensato fosse giusto immaginare una macchina da corsa interamente nuova che indossasse le loro livree. Sto iniziando a pensare di immaginare altre colorazioni e forse un prototipo dell’auto per il Gt2 (GTE), le vedrete presto (a meno che quei tizi a Zuffenhausen non la facciano uscire prima dei miei disegni!)

Eh si, questa volta le due cose vanno d’accordo: il soggetto di questo articolo è allo stesso tempo l’incarnazione metallica della grazia in movimento e l’essenza della furia. L’abilità dei progettisti, operai, membri della scuderia, piloti Audi è quella di far funzionare insieme queste caratteristiche così apparentemente incompatibili. La R8 LMS Ultra è un’ulteriore complessiva evoluzione della R8 LMS, vincente in tutto il mondo e rappresenta un generale miglioramento per questa e le prossime stagioni.
The R8 V10 is an absolutely stunning car just in its stock version so when it comes to the track things can only get better. The aero bits added to increase downforce and reduce drag enhance its personality without affecting the origial nice sculpted shape.
La R8 V10 è un’auto stupefacente già di serie ma quando si arriva in pista le cose possono solo migliorare. I dettagli aerodinamici studiati per migliorare la penetrazione ed incrementare il carico sottolineano la sua personalità senza snaturarne le scultoree linee d’origine.
This year upgrades involve a new bigger rear wing, a new front splitter, wider wheel arches, plastic reinforced carbon doors, new seats, bigger oil and water radiators, a new exhaust system to increase power and torque at low-mid revs and extended life-beetween-services engine: now you can run up to 20.000 km on track before next maintenance is needed. The side blades have been revised and the air intake are bigger to increase the amount of air that can reach the cooling systems.
Gli aggiornamenti di questa versione comprendono un alettone posteriore più grande, nuovo splitter anteriore, passaruota allargati, portiere in carbonio rinforzato con plastica, nuovo sedile, radiatori acqua e olio maggiorati, sistema di scarico e catalizzatori rivisti per esaltare coppia e potenza ai bassi e medi regimi, intervalli di manutenzione estesi: ora si possono percorrere 20.000 km prima dei successivi controlli. Le paratie laterali presentano ora prese d’aria più grandi per consentire un maggior afflusso verso i sistemi di raffreddamento.
You may suppose that the matt black livery is not recommended when you’ve to emphasize the look of a race car but here it really works well: its relation with the red and white stripes and details really makes the car stand out on the track.
Si potrebbe pensare che una livrea interamente nera opaca non sia proprio l’ideale quando si vuol esaltare l’immagine di una vettura da corsa ma qui funziona davvero bene: il suo rapporto con le strisce ed i dettagli bianchi e rossi fa si che la macchina risalti una volta in pista.
Once the action starts the R8 is always a tough contender for everyone: good balance, a powerful and reliable engine, experienced teams and proven drivers is all you need to reach the top and stay there.
Quando scatta l’azione l’R8 è sempre un osso duro per tutti: buon bilanciamento, motore potente ed affidabile, scuderie con anni di esperienza e piloti di spessore sono tutto ciò di cui si ha bisogno per raggiungere il vertice e rimanerci.

Taking photos was pretty easy thanks to the decision of the organizators to display a pristine model in a big space in the accueil of the main circuit building. The setting was really cool: black marble floor, big full lenght window, soft lights that is to say exactly the opposite situation of a busy, loud and crowdy pit lane.
Realizzare scatti stavolta è stato piuttosto facile grazie alla decisione degli organizzatori di esporre un esemplare immacolato in un grande salone nell’accoglienza visitatori dell’edificio dei box. Il contorno era una vera figata: pavimenti in marmo scuro, grandi vetrate verticali, luci soffuse ovvero esattamente la situazione opposta rispetto ad una affollata e rumorosa linea dei box.
