28° Meeting 500 @ Garlenda – Vintage, spare parts, miscellaneous
As i said in the previous post, beside cars exposition there was an area were 500 enthusiasts could find some nice parts and details for their machine. I’ve seen so many different parts tht i’m really convinced that it was possible to build a complete car starting from all the pieces in the stands. And you can find old original spare parts and freshly created special items that use today technology to improve drastically the performances. It could sound strange but it’s not a dream to drive a 50 years old compact with 6 gears gearbox, disc brakes, push-road dampers, alluminium engine, titanium exhaust, electric window, digital gauges, led lights and many other things i don’t remember. That’s a good way to extend the life of a classic car: to be honest i prefer pristine cars biult or modified with period-correct parts but everyone is free to go his own way. I tried to capture some interesting details, i hope i have done a good job!

Vintage & second-hand market
These events are good occasion to put ourselves inside automotive history. If you’re lucky enough to attend one of them you’ll be shocked by the crazy amount of stuff you can see. There is no homogeneic selection and quite often objects don’t meet any criterion but definitely they’re the only places where you can find some old-style metal banner of no-more-existing car manufacturers near to spare parts or racing memorabilia. Classic magazines, die-cast models of any car in any scale, restored rides, videos, autographs, historic prints: anything you could link to automotive field is probably there, the only effort is to find it among all that stuff. Here i put some shots of a market that was set in Monza last month: to cover all market sectors i’d need hundreds of pics but i tried to compress everything in a smaller post. Hope you like it!
